Smoky BBQ Ribs
Tender, fall-off-the-bone pork ribs smothered in a sweet and smoky homemade BBQ sauce.
- 2 racks pork baby back ribs
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 1/2 cups your favorite BBQ sauce
For extra smokiness, add a teaspoon of liquid smoke to your BBQ sauce before brushing it on the ribs.
- 1
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- 2
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, pepper, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder to create a dry rub.
- 3
Pat the ribs dry and rub the spice mixture generously over all sides of the ribs.
- 4
Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a large baking sheet.
- 5
Bake for 2 to 2.5 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- 6
Carefully remove the foil. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce and broil (or grill) for 3-5 minutes on each side, until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.
- 7
Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
